Frameworks for Collaboration

Frameworks for Change.

Tough problems present sustainability challenges for organizations, businesses, and communities alike. Helping you eliminate those problem is my business.

I construct frameworks for collaborative environments that enable organizations to work complex, wicked problems, create shared meaning, and build persistent organizational memory.

The problem-solving process always begins by asking one big question. A question such as:

  • “What will we do to deliver exceptional value to our customers?”
  • “How can we build a more robust infrastructure on a limited budget?”
  • “What will it take to bring our region together and build a sustainable community?”
  • “What will it take to create a sustainable organization?”

The really tough problems — the ones sometimes referred to as “wicked problems” — are the ones that, when unresolved, translate into broken dreams at best. and life-challenging collapse at worst.

In the case of a business, that might mean lost opportunities and revenue shortfalls. Broken systems and poorly designed processes prevent businesses from delivering maximum value to customers, vendors, employees, investors, and the community.

For a community, it could mean the disintegration of the very infrastructure that keeps it alive. The failure to shift with the changing world, create shared meaning, and build consensus while driving convergence has created ghost towns from communities that once thrived.

Can you put a price on that?

I’m rebuilding my own business processes and website in May and June of 2009 so I can better serve my clients. But I’m eager to hear about the big problems that stand in the way of getting the most out of what you have. Here’s my contact information:
